Element Building

I don’t recall there ever being anything in this building, but I’m sure there was some forgettable business in here.  I like the building despite its simplicity.  Was this some sort of Home Decor store?  It’s located across the street from the Casey’s on South Federal Avenue, amongst the plates of decaying concrete of the Southport parking desert.

    I seem to remember it was an Asian Decor Store a few years back.

    I want to say that I remember it being a furniture store when I was a little kid, but I could be wrong. City directories @ the library should be able to help you out. From the looks of the building I’d guess it first appeared in the late 60s, but I’m less accurate with more modern stuff than with the older.
